Who We Are

ATprojects Inc. is a Papua New Guinean–based development organisation established in 1998 under the Association Incorporation Act of Papua New Guinea. Headquartered in Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province, we work with rural and remote communities across the country to design, build, and deliver practical solutions that improve everyday living conditions. Our work is grounded in the principles of Appropriate Technology—solutions that are affordable, culturally suitable, environmentally responsible, and built using local skills and materials wherever possible. We believe rural communities should have a strong voice in shaping their own development, and that technology should support dignity, self-reliance, and long-term sustainability. For more than two decades, ATprojects has partnered with communities, government agencies, donors, churches, NGOs, and private-sector organisations to deliver water, sanitation, hygiene (WaSH), renewable energy, and community infrastructure projects. We are one of the few organisations in Papua New Guinea providing hands-on technical support at district and community level, backed by proven designs and field-tested methods.

2024 Project Story

Project Spotlight: WaSH Program in Daulo District (2024)

In 2024, AT Projects partnered with the Eastern Highlands Provincial Government (EHPG) to deliver a WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program for churches across Daulo District. The project was officially launched with a cheque presentation by EHPG Deputy Administrator Peter Gare to AT Projects’ Senior Project Engineer and Manager, Delilah Kamila. This marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to improve sanitation facilities in local communities. Through this initiative, AT Projects was engaged to design and construct Round Loo toilet facilities for churches throughout the district—helping to promote better hygiene, improve sanitation standards, and support healthier community environments. This project reflects AT Projects’ ongoing commitment to delivering practical, community-focused solutions that create lasting impact.
